Kaitlyn

Kaitlyn

My full name is…
Kaitlyn Teal Reinhart.

But my friends call me…
Since I have been in France people call me Kait.

I grew up...
In Canada.

Food as art…
"To eat is a necessity, but to eat intelligently is an art" - Francois de la Rochefoucauld. I believe that eating is one of the arts of life!

I express my creativity by…
I realised that cooking could be a form of personal expression and creativity.

My favourite recipe…
Minestrone, it is so authentic and comforting.

My favourite time of day…
Early mornings is when I have my best ideas, my mind is free from what the day has to bring.

Before becoming a mother I was…
One person.

A lesson motherhood has taught me…
To let go, you can't control everything and a baby will teach you this quickly.

You will usually find me….
In the kitchen.

Right now I am…
So tired! Sleep deprivation as a new mum has been difficult for me.

I care for myself…
By grounding myself when I can, barefoot in nature. I practice yoga and am a big runner. I need to move my body to keep my mind clear.

     I find comfort in…
The family I am building.

Three words that describe me are…
Kind, hard working, and I smile a lot :)

How I find balance…
I am struggling with this at the moment. Becoming a mum has added so many more depths to my life. It's like doing a dance with your past and present self and I am still learning the moves!

I feel womanly when…
I am feeding my son with my body.

I feel inspired…
Anywhere near nature.

My favourite colour
Right now, chocolate brown!

My favourite painting…
Bacchus by Caravaggio

I am hopeful for…
Moving to the countryside, finding a slower life and of course a vegetable garden.

I am looking forward to…
Our trip to Japan this year, the three of us, a dream come true!
